The learning path
The AI Basics Course takes you through seven modules that build on each other: from understanding the foundations of artificial intelligence to recognizing where you can use it in practice.
The goal is that you understand the basics of the technology, find your way among AI tools on your own, and experiment with them more consciously for your own goals. You need no expert knowledge for this.
- Module 1Available
The basics of artificial intelligence
You get to know the key concepts, capabilities and areas of use of AI.
By the end of the module: you can tell an AI model, an AI capability and an AI application apart, and recognize their role in everyday examples.
Open Module 1 → - Module 2Available
How does AI work?
You understand the basic differences between traditional programming, machine learning and generative AI.
By the end of the module: you can explain with simple examples how these approaches work and why they can give different results.
Open Module 2 → - Module 3Available
AI tools and how to use them
You get to know the role of chats, projects, assistants, plugins and skills.
By the end of the module: you can decide more easily which type of AI tool fits a given task.
Open Module 3 → - Module 4Available
Automation and AI agents
You learn how rule-based automation and AI-supported workflows work.
By the end of the module: you recognize when a simple automation is enough and when an AI agent can make sense.
Open Module 4 → - Module 5Available
AI in practice
Business examples and opportunities
By the end of the module: you can identify possible AI use cases in your own tasks and outline simple experiments.
Open Module 5 → - Module 6Available
AI tools and technology ecosystems
You look at how different AI tools, applications and digital platforms connect.
By the end of the module: you can compare solutions more consciously and recognize the main technology dependencies.
Open Module 6 → - Module 7Available
Safe and responsible use of AI
Data protection, permissions, AI autonomy and human decisions
By the end of the module: you recognize risky data sharing and the need to check AI answers more easily, and you can set the limits of AI autonomy and the right level of human control more consciously.
Open Module 7 →
What will you be able to do by the end of the course?
After the seven modules, you will likely be able to:
- Explain clearly how AI basically works and what its key concepts mean.
- Recognize the differences between AI tools and types of solutions.
- Identify opportunities to use AI in your work, your business or your learning.
- Plan and try out simple AI experiments.
- Assess the usefulness, limits and risks of AI solutions more consciously.
- Decide on a better basis what to support with AI, what to automate and what to keep in human hands.
- Build on these foundations to keep learning and experimenting on your own, and help others take their first steps.
